Custom Framed St. George Temple Photo

Having a picture of the temple in your house really helps it feel more like a home. I made this for my sister-in-law and her husband. It has their names, their anniversary and the name of the temple.

I downloaded the photo from lds.org in the Temple section. Then my friend Season photoshopped it for me to give it the antique effect. I added the words and had it printed at Costco. I modged podged it to a piece of wood using several coats. The last coat I textured using a plastic grocery sack.

The frame is made from base board or molding, I am not sure which, that I found at Home Depot. Make sure to sand it before you paint it if you do the same. It is now hangs in their home right as you walk in the door.

I like the frame. Where'd you get it? Did you paint it as well?

Will you tell us how you made the frame? Did the wood come in those sizes, or did you need a saw to cut it? Did you use wood glue and or nails to connect the sides? I LOVE it so much!
