I am so excited to receive this award from on of my new readers!

Vanessa and Nicholette from Craft Envy on of my most favorite craft blogs have given me this honor. It is so great to get to know more crafters out there in the blogging community.

What I do is list 7 interesting things about myself first. Here it goes:

1. I am brand new to the blogging world. I am like 3 months old in blogging years.

2. I have never read the Twilight series. I just moved to Utah a few months ago and seem to be one of the only ones. I still love Twilight Fans.

3. This past February I broke my right ankle and sprained my left and wasn't able to walk for about 3 weeks. I am so grateful for my amazing husband that helped me.

4. I am currently missing the pedal to my sewing machine and am having withdrawals.

5. I really look forward to the day some little person calls me "mom". That day will hopefully come soon.

6. My favorive date night with my husband is dinner and a movie, we love to go to the movies.

7. When we moved we left behind my parents and 2 of my siblings and my husband's parents and all of his siblings. WE MISS THEM!

Purse-Simplicity Pattern

I made this as a gift . It can be used as a purse but was given as a scripture tote.


The pattern can be found at your local craft store or at Simplicity's website. It is a fast and easy sewing project great for a beginner. Its all straight stitches. The hardest part is attaching the handle, but with some maneuvering is not too challenging.

I made her a card to match the tote. I the tote as the gift bag and stuck in some scripture markers and an lds reference book.

Thank You Gift

Here is a fun and quick way to say Thank You! I have been in physical therapy for the past 3 months recovering from my right ankle being broken and my left being sprained. I just graduated last Monday. Hooray! All the staff at the office was amazing I wanted them to know they were truly appreciated. They made the process really a lot of fun. I went to the store and bought SOBE's for everyone, and attached a little card to say Thanks.

I printed them on photo paper at Walmart because I was running out of ink on my printer. Here is the 4x6 photo I printed. I took our names off so you can use it if you would like.

Here are all the finished bottles. Also a big Thanks in order for my sister who helped me attach all the cards. They were a really big hit at the office everyone loved them.

Family Lost-&-Found Totes

This is an excellent idea from an excellent crafter. Nichole, co-founder of Zoo B Designs, created this for her mother. In the family there are 4 siblings that are all married and 10 grandkids. This hangs at her parents' home and helps keep track of belongings. If something is forgotten it gets put in the bag with the families last name initial on it. Its great for sippy cups, sunglasses, kids socks, and just about anything else.

What you need:
-Canvas Bags (Walmart $2.50)
-Fabirc
-Iron-on Adhesive
-Printed Letters from computer
-Piece of Wood
-Cabinet Knobs (Home Depot or other hardware store)

The wood that she used is a left over from cabinets. Stain or paint your wood to your desired color. Let that dry and while it is drying start on the totes. Iron on adhesive to fabric then cut the letters you printed. Trace the letters make sure they will be facing the right way and not backwards. Cut out letters and iron on to totes.

Measure where your knobs will go and mark. Attach knobs to wood. Hang the wood the the wall and hang your bags from the hooks. This would also be great for a home where each family member has their own. You can put things in that need to be put away or leave little treats or notes.

July Desktop

I have been making myself a desktop background for the past few months and wanted to share them with you. Here is July's.

It is a png document so you can put your photos behind it. I made this to fit my screen, but it can be adjusted to fit yours. I got the digital scrapbooking images from 2 places Free Digital Scrapbooking and Shabby Princess. They both have free kits to download. Enjoy!
